The Carina Press Spotlight is Going Virtual!

We know many of you are unable to make it to conferences (or you might just prefer serious introverting) so we’ve decided to bring our Publisher Spotlight to you, via the magic of the internet.

On April 18th from 10-11am EST, you’re invited to log in and see Editorial Director Angela James live, talking about all things Carina Press:

  • What our editors are looking for right now
  • How the editorial process works
  • What it’s like to work with us
  • Our contracts: a brief overview of terms
  • Intro to Carina marketing and PR support
  • And much, much more!

Angela will also be taking questions on the fly (don’t worry, that part is done via chat and you won’t be on video). If you have a question you’d like to ask ahead of time, please email editor@www.carinapress.com and use SPOTLIGHT in your subject line. We’ll collect them for the queue before we go live.

We understand authors have a lot of choices when it comes to selecting a publisher. This first virtual spotlight is part of our ongoing efforts to share our philosophies, provide all the nitty gritty business info you could want (painlessly!), and start a conversation. Hope to see you there!

When does the webcast start?

It starts at 10 am EST sharp, but please log in about ten minutes beforehand to ensure you don’t miss anything!

I live in a different time zone. Will a recording be made available?

We’ll do our best to provide a recording but can’t guarantee one will be available at this time.

Is there a presentation deck or other takeaway material?

We won’t be using slides in this session but a .pdf of our submission guidelines and current calls for manuscripts will be available for download during the event.

Do I need any special software?

You will need the latest version of Adobe Flash and an updated web browser to view the webcast. An IT team will be available to assist with any technology questions you may have.

What if my question isn’t answered?

We will do our best to answer all reasonable questions within the allotted time. However, there are some questions we may not be able to answer for business or legal reasons. If your question does not receive an answer and you feel it’s one we should be able to answer, please resubmit it after the session and someone will be back to you within 72 hours.
