In my first blog post here for Single Malt, I did a ’Shipper Anthem playlist and promised an Agents Irish and Whiskey one once the series was complete. Well, Barrel Proof is out in the world now, and I owe you a playlist! After all Aidan and Jamie went through on the road to happily ever after, the angsty tunes on this list should come as no surprise, but there are some upbeat ones too. And I’m sticking to my guns with the lead-off song—my original ’Shipper Anthem for Irish & Whiskey, Howl by Florence + the Machine. Nothing fits them better!
In addition to the AIW Playlist, the marathon writing of this series, especially the action scenes, would not have been possible without a few albums and inspirations that deserve a shout-out.
John Wick Soundtrack
A fantastic modern action flick with car chases I can’t get enough of and a soundtrack that’s equally addictive.
Rodrigo y Gabriela
This Mexican acoustic guitar duo’s unique combination of flamenco and rock is my go-to action scene and word-sprint music.
The Man from U.N.C.L.E. Soundtrack
Solo and Illya were a major partnership influence on Aidan and Jamie. Playful, snarky, smart and flirty. This soundtrack always puts me in the AIW ’verse vibe!
Enjoy these tunes as you enjoy the action-packed, romantic conclusion of the Agents Irish and Whiskey series! And be on the look-out for more stories in the AIW universe coming soon ;)
